Nsw Junior Sedan Title Heads Up Busy Tpcr Night
Posted Friday, 5 March 2010 by TPCR Media

A host of future speedway stars will fight it out for glory on Saturday night, 6 March 2010, when the NSW Junior Sedan Championship is decided at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway. The Junior Sedans are the future breeding ground for Speedway’s young stars with drivers aged 14 to 17 years. 31 entries will be fighting it out for the NSW Championship crown with last start feature winner Monique O’Hehir and second generation racer Ben Nicastri expected to feature up near the front. Along with the Junior Sedans the night will be topped off by Late Model Sedans, Lightning Sprints, AMCA Nationals and Street Stocks. All five divisions on the programme will have a 20 lap A-Main to decide the winner of each division.

In the Late Model Sedans, former Grand National star Ross Nicastri will have a busy night behind the wheel, while also finding time to help his son Ben chase the Junior Sedan Championship. Ross will have to fight off established Late Model stars including Scott McPherson, Nathan Disney and Darryl Grimson if he is to take the victory spoils.

The Lightning Sprint nominations are headed up by Australian Champion Karl Geddes and last start feature winner Matthew Reed. Geddes recently took out the Australian Championship in Dubbo and will be looking to continue on his good form back at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway. Big fields of Street Stocks and AMCA Nationals will also feature on Saturday night.

Gates will open for Saturday night’s event, 6 March 2010, at 4.30pm with racing from 6pm. Adult tickets are $23, Pensioners are $17 and Juniors (13-15 years) are $13. All kids 12 years and under are FREE when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available at the gate.

Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway is located at 21 Wentworth St, Granville, NSW, 2142, just off Parramatta Rd near the corner of James Ruse Drive.
